For my illustration I started out sketching out a couple of different ideas that would show the mood and topic of the article. I had couple of concepts but I had to narrow it down to one, so I went with the one that showed the most emotion and that burnout and overwhelmed feeling. To show that emotion I really played around with the shape, position, and color to get that message across. I also looked online for inspiration in order to figure out a way to make my own take on the topic. Overall, I'm happy with the end result of my illustration and how I was able to translate my sketch into digital form. Below are my original sketches of my ideas and #1 is the one I decided to go with in the end. I simplified the amount of alarm clocks but still kept the overall idea of being overwhelmed and expression in my final illustration.
