Christmas Illustration (2019-2021)

Here are some personal illustrations I created between 2019-2021 for my favourite season of the year which always bring countless joy for everyone, Christmas.
A personal tribute I did after I watched The Nutcracker by @nationalballet on December 12, 2019, in Toronto, Canada. This illustration is inspired by the Sugar Plum Fairy scene in Act II. I'm planning to make a series of Nutcracker scenes in the near future.
Choreographer: James Kudelka, O.C

Caravane de Noël

In December 2020 to January 2021. I decided to create something special for Christmas and winter. Since I’ve been learning french in the past months, so why not create something inspired by french songs/poems? (I got many suggestions of songs and poems from my french tutors.)
About the concept, I was inspired by travelling puppet theatre. There is something magical about it and it travels around to spread joy (especially to children). So, I hope this series of whimsical illustrations could lift up the smile to the audience.
I plan to create a 3D model of one of these puppet theatres in the future as well.
The illustration above is inspired by a French children's Christmas song, Noël en forêt (Christmas in the forest).
The second illustration inspired by the classic Petit Papa Noël (Little Santa) song.
The last piece of the traveling puppet theatre series. It’s not a Christmas poem, but it’s about what the moon does during winter.
