La Soie (English: The Silk, tiếng Việt: Lụa) là một typeface chữ viết tay được lấy cảm hứng từ lụa và những đường uốn cong tới từ thiên nhiên, do Manh Nguyen thiết kế nhằm tôn vinh chất liệu lụa, nghề dệt lụa và những làng nghề lụa lâu đời tại Việt Nam. Kế thừa vẻ đẹp vốn có của bảng chữ cái luyện viết chữ đẹp trong hệ thống giáo dục Tiểu học Việt Nam, kết hợp cùng cách viết roundhand đặc trưng của các nghệ sỹ vẽ bảng biển hiệu và tính cổ điển của business cursive, La Soie là một bộ font script thanh lịch, nữ tính, mềm mại, mang dáng vẻ kinh điển của người phụ nữ trong tà áo dài dệt lụa Việt nhưng toả ra sự hiện đại và mới mẻ. La Soie gồm 3 font chữ Sa (lụa Sa/The), Dui (lụa Đũi) và MyA (lãnh Mỹ A) với 3 vẻ đẹp khác biệt: Sa mỏng manh - Đũi thô ráp - Lãnh Mỹ A dày dặn, trơn bóng được thể hiện ngay trong cấu trúc chữ của font, đem đến cảm xúc khác biệt khi sử dụng cho nhiều mục đích khác nhau. La Soie cũng vì đó mà vô cùng thích hợp các thiết kế cao cấp cần sự sang trọng như branding & packaging thời trang, mỹ phẩm, nước hoa hay thực phẩm organic. La Soie hỗ trợ đa ngôn ngữ gốc Latin - bao gồm tiếng Việt - cùng các đặc trưng OpenType như hệ thống ligature phong phú và nhiều alternative để thiết kế đa dạng và mượt mà. La Soie (English: The Silk, tiếng Việt: Lụa) is a script typeface inspired by silk and natural curves, designed by Manh Nguyen to pay homage to silk textiles, silk weaving and age-old Vietnamese traditional weaving villages. Inheriting the beauty of calligraphy alphabet taught in Vietnamese primary education system, combined with unique, specific roundhand style of Vietnamese sign painters and classicality of business cursive writing style, La Soie is a trio of elegant, delicate and feminine fonts that representing the classic beauty of Vietnamese women in silk aodai with the twist of freshness and modernism. Three fonts included and named after 3 kinds of silk that are actually weaved and fabricated in Vietnam - Sa (the Sa silk, a type of muslin silk), Dui (the Dui silk, a type of silk linen) and MyA (the Lanh My A silk, a type of thicken black satin silk) with differences in characteristic according to their own names: delicate and hairlike Sa, rough and coarse Dui & thick, lustrous MyA reflected in their type anatomy, which make them suitable for various usages. La Soie is handcrafted for designs that are haute couture and requires opulent extravagance like branding or packaging for fashion, cosmetics, perfume or even high-end organic food. La Soie is multilingual supported - including Vietnamese - with OpenType features like an extended library of ligatures and alternatives for a real smooth and sophisticated design.
