Minecraft Vanilla servers aim to stay as close as possible to Minecraft's original gameplay. Most vanilla servers don't have any plugins at all and allow users to do whatever they want, but usually still have rules (or they would be Anarchy servers). Semi-vanilla servers are similar to Vanilla but have some plugins, but they still tend to keep the gameplay very close to the original Minecraft gameplay.
