Coat made of polyolefin foam textile
In this project the client was the Trocellen Hungary (polyolefin-foam-solution provider company). They want to open towards new sectors of industry.
I chose the fashion scene for my orientation, because as I see this topic is a dead square in the company’s work, and I like dealing with this topic.
The properties of the material settled the concrete orientation of the further work. The polyolefin-foam is waterproof, thermal insulated, easy to shape, non-toxic, can be laminated to nearly anything, the material itself van be coloured.
After a period of experimenting, finally I made a coat, which owns the mentioned properties, but cheaper to produce than a neoprene for example. It also has an interesting material, and the ability of lamination with many different textiles gives a great variety of products.
Lamination with textile also makes the sewing process more easier.
The polyolefin-foam’s properties give the possibility of creating an awash wear.
The surface of polyolefin-foam can be modified by heat pressure technologies which could also be an innovation in the textile works.
Because of the existing sticking technologies I can bravely imagine that it is possible to create a piece of clothes without sewing.
