Making this art was a new challenge for me, as I didn't want to reproduce / make a copy of any official image from the film, but wanted to make something new but still have the atmosphere of the film. Certain elements present in the film were key for me to develop the illustration, such as the drawings in the Charlie character's notebook, some symbols and metaphors.
(Fazer essa arte foi um novo desafio para min, já que eu não queria reproduzir / fazer uma cópia de nenhuma imagem oficial do filme, mas queria fazer algo novo porém que ainda tivesse a atmosfera do filme. Certos elementos presentes no filme foram chaves para eu desenvolver a ilustração, como os desenhos no caderno da personagem Charlie, alguns símbolos e metáforas.)
The tree that represents Heredity, was my main inspiration to make this illustration. the tree is present in the official movie poster, but represented differently from my illustration, where I wanted a vibe more like the end of the movie where the climax appears. so i wanted a scarier tree in a way
(A árvore que representa a Hereditariedade, foi minha principal inspiração para fazer essa ilustração. A árvore esta presente no Poster oficial do filme, porém representada de forma diferente da minha ilustração, onde eu queria algo mais parecido com o final do filme no qual o climax aparece. então queria uma árvore mais assustadora de certa forma).
And these were the other central elements of the film that helped me direct the illustration to the aesthetic I wanted.
