"Señor Tierra" is a dishware collection created by incorporating the iconic ideas of Chiapas' cultural identity through abstractions into a minimalistic design.
The general concept is inspired by the interpretation of the so-called "huipiles" from Chiapas, a feature clothing where iconography representing their deities can be appreciated.
When looked at detail, the stamp interacting with the glazed finish can be noticed.
The project involved materials of great cultural value such as ceramic and Tabebuia wood (treated with natural bee wax and oil).
In regards to the ergonomic, technical, economic and logistic guidelines for this design, the new product matches the quality standards of top restaurants.
The proyect as it was diplayed at Open Room 2014.
