For this assignment (in my Advanced Type Class), we were asked to take a historical typeface and choose a letter to create a modern dropcap for it. My character "O" was based off of the typeface Hobo created in 1910 by Morris Fuller Benton. I chose to make my dropcap into more of a little illustration. I first vectorized it then brought it into photoshop to finish up the extra details. So, that's how this "Monster Dropcap" was born!
