Outer Banks Brochure
This project was created for an Intro to Graphic Design class. The goal of this project was to select a tourist area from a provided list. I chose the Outer Banks because I am from North Carolina and thought it would be fun because of all the attractions the OBX has.
These were my reference pictures used. The first image is a common theme found along the outer banks advertisements and postcards, so I wanted to incorporate that into my design. In addition, the last photo is the most popular lighthouses found along the Outer Banks coast like.
These sketches are three ideas I had for the cover of my brochure. I wanted to make it unique but also something that is clearly indicated as the outer banks.
This is my completed design for the brochure. I decided on a light blue color palette to capture the beach feel of the OBX, and a navy blue font for legibility. The outer banks is a very family friendly and chill beach, so I incorporated that tone into the fonts used throughout the brochure.
Above is a mockup to show what this design would look like on a three-fold brochure.
thank you for checking out my work!
