For this project, I was challenged to manipulate type in order for it to appear as something else. I was inspired to create a piece in the shape of a face or silhouette. I had the idea to create a piece inspired by the actor Johnny Depp. I chose to use him because he's a very talented actor and is known for playing diverse characters. The overall shape is Depp character, The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. Each section represents a well-known and different character that Depp has played. The characters include Captain Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka, The Mad Hatter, and Edward Scissor Hands.
