The following poster for The Godfather is designed around one central theme cannoli. The "leave the gun, take the cannoli" scene was adlibbed and remains one of the most iconic quotes in cinema history. My initial three poster drafts included both original photography and vector illustrations. I first photographed cannoli and then edited them in Adobe Photoshop to turn their appearance into an oil painting for the poster. The vectors were designed in Adobe Illustrator. The early VHS releases inspired the black leather background and typeface color. The poster animation was designed in Adobe After Effects and plays out the iconic scene.
