Corrugated Cardboard blinds.
Corrugated cardboard is an alternative & sustainable material. With this in mind I chose to design blinds out of corrugated cardboard to make them different and to take them in a new direction. Cardboard is a more cost effective material to use for window blinds, and is also easily replaceable when a room may be getting redecorated or the home owner just fancies a change. My design offers a more personal service, by giving the buyer the option of making their blinds unique & something to show off when they have people over. Why should blinds just be blinds and not a focal point of the room? With these blinds once they’re closed they can brighten up a room through whatever is on them, be it family pictures or a landscape etc. These blinds are personal, unique, sustainable, and cost effective and they can be classed as art depending on the user’s choice of design, not just a plain and standard feature seen in millions of homes.
