Ukrainians haven’t been able to go to Sweden for over a year because of the pandemic. We gave the Kyivans a chance to visit the kingdom by recreating fragments of Sweden in the Kyiv streets together with the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine. We created six bright billboards and placed it right on the ground instead of putting them up, so that people could stand on them. Each billboard showcased values that connected Ukrainians and Swedes the most. People could take photos and videos featuring AR in all six art zones.
Over 30 Ukrainian media published news on the walking route along the AR installations in the first days of the campaign. The QR codes were used over 3,000 times in three weeks (no promotion). Thus, thousands of people learnt about the annual Sweden Days in Ukraine.
