In Her Majesty's Complacency

Continuing Into A Series
With Bronze being the first of these I decided to make it a series and, of course, continue with Silver. Goal was to create a similar setup of the scene but with an as different as possible look and feel.

Still A Different Path

Again I decided to focus almost entirely on Blender. Yet again I learned so many things. 3d work can be so challenging and complex. Therefore very rewarding when you learn things that will for sure help in upcoming projects. I started in Blender setting up the stage and modeling the elements. The cloth simulation aspect of the scene was quite a challenge to get right.I also imported some kitbash elements and modified them for the scene to save me some time here and there. DAZ Studio was then used for posing the figure and clothes. The import into Blender underwent the same procedure as with the Bronze piece. It took me quite a while and a lot of time went into optimizing, adjusting and changing textures to make them work with the idea in my mind.

Progression & Refining

After optimizing the elements of the scene for rendering I moved it all into Photoshop. Now here I had to do some extensive work as well. Usually I prepare and render out my scenes to a level that makes me confident about fixing stuff "in post". So there went down a lot of overpainting of details and creating a neat colour palette. The render passes I got from Blender helped pushing the detail even more.
The Queen
Naturally our protagonist needed to stand out properly. The foundation was done in Blender, creating a lighting situations that would serve the presentation. A lenghty but necessary process. In Photoshop I pushed the shadows and highlights as far as I could to make her stand out.

Final Words

Yet again I tried to push myself and learn new things. I'm fairly happy how everything worked out and can't wait to finish up the final (for now) entry with a Gold interpretation of the scene!
Inspiration comes from the strangest places.
