Kamala Harris # First female Vice President of US

Kamala Harris is an American politician and currently serving as the Vice President of US . She is the 49th VP of US .She is the first ever female Vice President in the history of US. She is the highest serving female and also the first African American and Asian American female Vice President. She belongs to the Democratic Party. She has also served as the Attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017. She was US senator from 2017 to 2021.

Kamala Harris was born on 20 October,1964. She was born in Oakland in California in US. Her mother was ShyamaleGopalan. She was a Tamil Indian. She was a biologist. She did research on breast cancer. Her mother completed PhD in 1964. Harris’s father was Donald Harris.Harris’s father was a professor at Stanford University. He was an economist. In 1966, Shayamalemet Donald. Harris has a younger sister named Maya.

Harris and Maya live in Barkley in California. Harris’s neighbour took them to the Church named African American Church. Her mother gave information to Harris and Maya about the Hindu Culture and she used to took them to a Hindu temple. Her mother occasionally sing there in the temple. Harris ,her mother and Maya had visited India many times during their childhood. Harris was highly influenced by her maternal grandfather named P.V. Gopalan. He was a retired Indian civil officer. Harris had also visited his father’s hometown in Jamaica.
