The Summer Olympics is an international event in which numerous different nations get together to compete in different sports. For this project, I was tasked with designing the branding for the 2036 Summer Olympics for Höfn, Iceland, a country that has not yet hosted the Olympics. I have created a set of 8 pictograms and 3 mockups including deck passes and tickets.

For my logo, I used the Seamen's Monument in Iceland. The Seamen's Monument is a very geometric structure with an occasional organic curve. Keeping that in mind, I created a torch using straight lines. To balance the sharpness of the torch, I used organic curves to create the flame. Furthermore, in order to keep the element of the 2036 Olympics, I manipulated the torch to say "36".
