Project Name: BLUR
Location: World's Island, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Function: Mixed use tower, leisure , Agricultural facilities

The aim of the project is to use humidity to its advantage by collecting water from humidity through various ways and materials and turning it into usable water.

Being located in World's island, where most of the occupied island are hotels and resorts. After studying the site, the analysis informed that there is a need for a service entity in the area. Thus, the tower acts as a service facility that contains different programs and functions for the neighboring island.
The form of the tower consists of overlapping volumes that are connected through vertical steel truss that host vertical circulation, water pipes, MEP, and wind turbines.

One of the most important aspects of the project is agriculture, as some of the volumes are allocated for agriculture where fruits and vegetables will be planted, then they will be sold to the islands residents.
In terms of materials, the main façade of the buidling consists of a dynamic wall system that opens and closes based on the humidity level. The facade is also covered by a mesh that collects water particles from humidity and transfers it through floor slabs to water tanks. The buidling also uses solar panels that as well collects water from humidity.
