Kiakhta is a conceptual brand whose tea practice is inspired by traditional culinary art and tea sommellerie, and offers premium specialized teas designed to accompany dishes and create gourmet combinations. The brand is primarily aimed at young people, ready to consume more and pay for premium tea products of different origins and flavors and looking to incorporate gourmet quality tea into their overall lifestyle, with faster preparation methods.Thus, Kiakhta offers many gourmet tea bags to be enjoyed with meats, fish, as well as cheeses and desserts. As a result, the brand is promoting the links between tea consumption and gastronomic culture in European countries, drawing on the traditional role of sommeliers to expand tea consumption opportunities in these mature markets.

My main concern was to create a successful visual identity and packaging design, from concept to renderings.  The two packages on display reveal Jade Wulong and Long Jing teas, intended to be enjoyed with pastries and cheeses, respectively. The design of the packaging is simple and elegant, playing on hot stamping techniques and the arch motif that recalls the calm, stability and divinity of the tasting moment. The illustrations provide information on the landscapes of origin of the teas. Each package presents the tea it contains and the gourmet pairings it offers.
