Bring light to life
IKEA x Sabine Marcelis
Bringing light and color into our day-to-day routine - this is the concept Sabine Marcelis has put into her new IKEA collection. To create a film for this magical and airy collection Media.Work design team have carried out some studies of the interior light lifecycle: how the light interacts with material, texture, and color; how it travels through the house from dawn till dusk. How light and shade mix and overlay, creating mesmerizing graphic pictures. The shapes and colors transform with the daylight - unique at every moment.
To portray the nature of the collection, we have appealed to the classic graphical means such as gradient, and blur, which perfectly convey the feeling of form, volume, material, and texture. Creating a mood through its flowing movement, the film reveals the atmosphere and the soul of the collection.
