This project is an art-directed lo-fi music video on the song 'Someone you loved' by Lewis Capaldi. The idea was to conjure a setting with basic animation that would invoke the true emotions of the song.
Scene - Teenage girl in a messy living space

Art Direction of the Video
In order to build a purposeful desired aesthetic the following elements were added :
1. Rain - creates a gloomy and sad environment
2. Books - shows the character's stereotypical introverted nature
3. The empty chair in front - a metaphor
4. Cactus and other dead plants - addresses the characters careless state of mind and the thorns in life
5. Spilled coffee mug and other mess in the room - indicates the mess going on in life
6. Lots of pillows and a blanket on the side - shows the need for comfort, but inability to get some
7. Photos on the walls - indicates the presence of people in life, but still finding one self alone
8. Quotes on the wall - shows the character's present state of mind
9. Burning candle - indicates the tiny uncertain ray of hope
