Through Their Eyes

Through Their Eyes is a theoretical non-profit organization with the goal of showing people the stories and memories of veterans. We aim to provide a sneak peek into the past, so people can learn what it was like back then. This project hopes to bring these memories into the light, so they are not lost forever. Each booklet would be tailored to each veteran so that they were not all the same and each of them had a specific characteristic about them. I had the opportunity to interview a veteran who worked as a morse code operator in the Navy. Because of this, I chose to have half of my booklet written in Morse Code. As a nod to him and what he did.

The creation of this organization was inspired by many stories of grandparents and veterans. The purpose of this organization was to preserve these memories. That they would last and be something tangible that anyone can hold. Keeping the design simple and in black and white and using images that these veterans provided and keeping them as big as possible in the booklet to show them off.
To catch the interest of people viewing the logos, Though Their Eyes wanted to stand out and look different. Their Eyes' logo has a bright green element that is eye catching along with the large, thick font. By using a display font for both the horizontal and square logos, the poster stands out against the other posters.
It was important to consider a number of different factors for this theoretical  organization. If older viewers were to examine the booklet, then they would be able to read it easily. To represent seeing through their eyes and back into the world they knew, I used a silhouette with an image masked over it.
