Japanese Notan
A Notan is a combination of lights and darks. For this project I was required to make 24 thumbnail sketches and one final Notan. I used a white Bristol Board and a 5"x 5" black square to sketch final design. After sketching I used an X-Acto knife to cut out the shapes and flip them to create my final design.
