About
FamiLigtas PH is a campaign that aims to provide support to victim-survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and help start their journey towards healing, amid the limitations from COVID-19.
Challenge
As a visual content creator intern, my role was to develop art cards whose messages are clear, well-researched, and sensitive to its target audiences. It must also maintain a clean minimalist look and adhere to the campaign's brand. Either vector images or photos were used.
Process
Closely follow the the message of the copy, and work with the FamiLigtas PH team for subsequent builds and revisions.
Development of the Art Cards
Women and LGBT+ in Gaming
The art card tackles our right to safe spaces, be it online or offline. Women and LGBTQIA+ individuals often experience rape jokes, sexist and homophobic slurs, and excessive stalking in online gaming which perpetrators disguise as "casual fun."
Development
A call for passage of SOGIE Equality Bill
Familigtas PH joins in strengthening the demands to pass the SOGIE Equality Bill which seeks to provide safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ Filipinos
Development
Gender-based Violence in LGBTQIA+ Relationships
This art card aims to shed light on the fact that GBV is not exclusive to heterosexual relationships. For instance, gendered violence can come in the form of forced outing. Queer victim-survivors deserve support for their experiences.
Development of the Art Card
Trauma Bonding
The art card tackles the grip and manipulation the abuser has with the victim-survivor during trauma bonding.

Care Amidst the Cycle of Violence
Traumatic experiences in childhood (such as the absence of a parent) does not immediately lead to an unhappy future; rather, victim-survivors have the capacity to break away from the cycle of violence and abuse. The path towards healing can be achieved through love and support.
