Aviasales is a search engine for plane tickets. Though their team is mostly russian, their first and main office is located in Phuket, Thailand. In 2018 Aviasales charged arch.funk with the development their Moscow base for marketing and mobile development teams. The task was to support the client's highly informal culture and make the place a natural gravity point for local team as well as international. The office is located in White Gardens business park, one of the prime locations in Moscow and a spacious terrace with an astounding view of the city is one of its advantages.
We started the project with deep research of client culture and needs, sharing morning coffee with the team and working together on a detailed project guide. It turned out an extremely intense program for an existing site area and in the end required a lot of work and improvisation to fit everything in.
As a first step from formality to team culture we replaced the reception counter with the bar. As the office was built it immediately became an important focal point for the team and a vital collaboration spot.
arch.funk filled the space with different teaming areas, including open air ones on the terrace. Addressing clients needs even desks were designed as a bespoke solution for heavy gadget users. They provide enlarged cable management and additional sockets for countless chargers of all types and additional shelving to compensate smaller desk area.
