This is an illustration that i created from exploring Japanese culture, Daruma Doll is modeled after Bodhidharma, a semi-legendary Buddhist monk who lived during the 5th or 6th century. ... He is known as Dámó in China and as Daruma in Japan.
It was fun, since all i knew was that Daruma is an Evil doll (Influenced by a movie) but turned out that Daruma doll was actually a good luck talisman, and making it a popular gift of encouragement.
