Stories of My Daily Life
The (fictitious) client – ‘Placemaking’ is a name given to a specialised field of town planning and urban development. It involves identifying the unique attributes and potential of various localities, and the aspirations of the residents, and using this information to inform and shape the design and development of vibrant authentic public spaces.
‘Placemaking’ has advertised for a graphic designer/ visualiser to prepare presentations and client pitches.
In response, I prepared a 4-page illustrated ‘sketchbook’ with a combination of hand drawing, photo tracing, manual and digital colour treatment.

The project gave me an opportunity to explore how drawing can be used to communicate my observations of the styles and dynamics of urban places and spaces, through little stories in my daily life.
