House of culture | commemorative illustration of the 10 years Guimarães European Capital of Culture.
The illustration has a medieval aspect but at the same time it is a fusion with the contemporary, being the symbiosis between the city's past and present.
This relationship between past/present is manifested through the human figures that carry with them the Guimarães culture. Elements such as cantaria dos namorados and the reference to cultural events that the city hosts such as Nicolinas, Guimarães Jazz, Gil Vicente Festival, Contemporary Circus Festival and Guidance are presented.

The heart at the top (the logo of the European capital of culture 2012) symbolizes the maximum exponent that makes the city continue to evolve culturally over these 10 years.
The city is presented in an abstract way through the references - castle and Penha, which together form a kind of housing - a house that is our culture.
