The golden ratio, reinvented. I wanted to do something impractical, using a new material I did not feel comfortable with.
Challenges I faced:
-I found the gelatin really difficult to remove from the pan. Even when the gelatin shared an edge with the circumference of the pan it was difficult to dig out. I messed up many times with the pieces in the center.
I ended up using a standard retractable office knife to cut the gelatin, the ones used by many to open letters and taping on packages. I found culinary knives to be less forgiving, harder to operate in such a fragile substance.
Started and completed in February 2013.
