A Geometric Dance

‘Triadisches Ballett’ (Triadic Ballet) is a ballet developed by Oskar Schlemmer. The ballet became the most widely performed avant-garde artistic dance and while Schlemmer was at the Bauhaus from 1921 to 1929, the ballet toured, helping to spread the ethos of the Bauhaus.
The books are to be a readable history of the influence of Bauhaus design on the ballet. The books are split into three parts; 'PRINCIPLE OF TRINITY', which focuses on the idea of the ballet and the synopsis. 'ABSTRACTION OF THE HUMAN BODY', which is about the costuming and how it has influenced today’s fashion. Lastly, 'A GEOMETRIC SYNTHESIS', focuses on the choreography of the ballet.
