Fallacies of Embellishment __MA Thesis, Hochschule für Künste Bremen 2022
I’m seeking to explore possibilities and stories that create myths. I will create a storyline for new beliefs, by applying the method of the theater of the absurd as a game engine, as well as recognizing the meaning of mythopoesis in my research.
The master thesis is situated in the realm of the net. art in the form of a QnA game. The Player in this game plays an active role in creating the myth about the Internet with their answers.
Through play, we can achieve the process of fictioning. My website is a place of acting and creation, through repetitive actions as performance, which creates myths.
In my work, I try to call something in us that isn’t us, with my game to create a myth. For me, it represents calling forth our beliefs about a particular topic and combining it with reality. I’m not interested in the truth. I've based my research on Simon O'Sullivan's term ’mythopoesis’, which follows Deleuze on the function of fabulation in the arts that are presentations not for an audience already in place, but for calling forth “a people who are missing”.
