Based on the frustration that is often associated with my morning commute, this piece shows all of the different characters who live in WIlliamsburg waiting for the next train. It always makes me laugh to see people leaning over, as if it will make the train come any faster. This takes place on th elevated subway in Williamsburg, Brooklyn- specifically the Hewes stop- my stop. The composition is the size of the illustrations you see in the subways, in the long card holders.
All of the characters are made out of Sculpey, and set on a real background which was then edited in photoshop to create atmosphere.
