The Village Spirit Co.
The Village Spirit Co. is a small distillery based in the beautiful South Hams in Devon. We were approached to come up with both the identity for the company and the design of their opening 2 offerings — a ‘Very Special Gin’ and a ‘Reserve Molasses Rum’.
A characterful typographic solution for the identity was paired with the 3 hares motif found throughout ancient Devon for at least 1,500 years. A warning against sin? A way to advertise good fortune or avert evil influences? No one is certain of their actual meaning!
