Sound Progression Diagram - 

 

I created a soundscape whose sound would change in frequency and pitch as the entrance to the abattoir became closer. Alerting the passer by to what is hidden within the site.

Detail of Wind Chime base - 

 

Taller bases allows for lighter breezes to move the chime. Allowing for more frequent sounds

Wind Chime heads -

 

Variants in windchime heads allowed for various pitches to be created as they banged off eachother.

Design Intervention -

 

The passer by on the street, to the left of the photo, is drawn into the space by the wind creating a subtle soundscape.

  

As the passer by gets closer to the abattoir entrance, to the right of the photo, the wind creates a louder soundscape.  

Copper - 

 

This material was chosen as it's appearance changes during it's lifetime, linking in with the change of the animals going to the abbatoir.
