I wanted to share and create a poster to support World Autism Awareness Day.  April 2 is a day to celebrate children with the disability of Autism.  The poster provides very practical ways that children can show support, kindness and include a friend with Autism.  I am a parent of a child diagnosed with Autism. Our son Logan has many capabilities.  His diagnosis does impact his verbal communication and understanding appropriate social interactions. He has overcome many obstacles.  He is an amazing athlete.  He participates in running marathons, kayaking, swimming, and skiing are his favorite sports. He is very good at math and reading. He is finishing his final year of school and will transition into young adulthood.  We are hopeful for him to continue to have meaningful opportunities beyond high school.  The clouds represent unlimited potential. It is important to recognize that all children have strengths. Collaboration, acceptance, and inclusive practices will allow all children to be their best selves.

“Your child with autism has unlimited potential, just like everyone else.”
