estate (poet. or region. està; pop. istate, state) s. f. [lat. aestas -atis, from the theme of aestus -us "heat"]. - 1. Second season of the year, included, for the northern hemisphere, between the summer solstice (21 June) and the autumn equinox (23 September), characterized by a considerably higher temperature because the Sun remains a greater number of hours on the horizon and because the sun's rays strike the Earth's atmosphere less obliquely.
Summer is sacred for us Italians. It is the moment in which we rest, relax, go out and contemplate life passing by, in the slow warm hours of the day.
GRAZIE.
All the photos were taken around Liguria, a region of Italy that I can proudly say was my home for all the summers of my childhood.
