Margazhi - A Compilation of the Voice Unheard
It all started in the temple courtyards in that month of the year (margazhi), where women danced in praise of the almighty they worshipped. They were skilled dancers who were highly regarded in the society until a few laws that prohibited their rights. The vast repertoire that was beautifully curated by great artists slowly started to rise in fame and excellence through festivals and celebrations of the art form.
