As time passes, people begin to age, and their appearances are bound to change. Thus, the loss of shape from approaching death (aging) has been expressed through a collage that displays the gradual decaying process (becoming bones) with pieces positioned in vertical intervals.
The background has been painted in abstract form to express vagueness. The vertical collage also has the effect of appearing as a static screen, suggesting vagueness and uncertainty about the future. Moreover, the flow of time has been interpreted to be related to the flow of nature (water), this having been emphasized through other living creatures aside from human bones, particularly with an emphasis on fish that live amongst the flow of water.
