Sign On
An online repository of protest signs for every issue
I came up with the idea for this project while talking to one of my fellow communications design students about how great it would be if graphic designers and artists made well-designed protest signs for issues dear to them.

Sign On encourages designers, artists, and pretty much everyone to design and submit signs for any issue, no matter how unpopular. Sign On is about freedom of dissent, first and foremost. Much in the way that Google does not censor search results, Sign On does not censor signs for unpopular or contentious issues. There are a lot of issues I feel passionately about, and while I may not see eye to eye with you, I believe in your right to protest the things you disagree with or have rallies in support of the things you care about.

The home page shows some of the more popular signs. Another page contains an interactive map of the world, in which you can click on your location, and a window pops up with a list issues relevant to where you are. Sign On also has sign submission and request forms, and sign makers can browse new requests or search for them by issues and tags.

Right now, this website is just a concept. If you'd be interested in helping me make it a reality, please contact me!
