Bembo(ok) Pro Promotional Poster
Here is my final design for my Project three submission. The outline for this project was to imagine that I was commissioned to design a poster that I will later sell to a font to a designer for Fonts.com. I really enjoyed this project and hope to do similar projects in the future.
First Draft
The images above are from my "brainstorming" stage where I create eighteen sketches by hand and then chose my top ten sketches to create my first digital drafts.
Second Draft
After receiving feedback from classmates and my professor I created the second draft of my designs. We finally incorporated one of my favorite things--color! Many of my classmates enjoyed the first composition shown because they liked the contrast between the different colored numbers.
Third Draft
After one more refinement session I had my top three composition for my Final. I evaluated the pros and cons of each poster to decided what one I would settle on as my final design.
I really like the first design because the numbers have great contrast but the rest of the text blends with the background color a little to much so it is difficult to read.
I believe that the second design is the strongest because the collage of numbers easily catches your attention and help lead your eye to the rest of the text.
The third design is more gentle and soft. It is not so much "in your face" as the first and second design.
