Blind Date with a Book bookmark
Context:

Design new bookmarks for Blind Date with a book for Valentine's Day.

DESIGN PROCESS

Old design:
This is what the old one used to look like. Pre-pandemic, the librarians would cover the physical books with brown craft paper and wrap them in twine/ribbon. They would "rate their date" and be entered in a draw. It now has to be done online, but we still wanted patrons to grab a bookmark for themselves. We also wanted something more modern.
Sketches:
I first designed them vertical since that was how the last one was. Most of our bookmarks are vertical. It wasn't until another brainstorming session that we decided horizontal.
Drafts:
I actually don't have much drafts since most of it was the placement of the hearts, colours & the words. I thought we wanted to keep the logo and make it more modern, but after more critiques we decided to lose the logo. Another suggestion was to not bold the text.
FINAL DESIGN

Here's what the final looks like!
