Ohio Department of Education - Brief Proposal 

Client: Ohio Department of Education

Problem: STEM (and now STEAM) has been determined to be an important set of learning skills for the 21st Century, but there are large gaps in STEAM achievements in U.S. middle schools, especially in urban areas. Ohio's Department of Education, wants to start a pilot program in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District to increase student interest and participation in STEAM.

Approach: Considered the budget and created a client brief proposal that explains a potential solution to increase awareness of STEM. I created a multipage document in InDesign that explains the importance of STEM/STEAM and proposes one major event idea that will interest students and increase knowledge in some area of STEM.

My role: This project was a fictional client for my education and the project was intended to demonstrate the Design Thinking process and how it can applied to real life scenarios.
