Irene Foy
is a profile of my maternal grandmother, Irene Foy.The series documents her experiences as a widow, a matriarch, and an active Roman Catholic. This project doubly serves as a record of personal history and an attempt of understanding the dynamics of my familial relationships.
The title is a reference to the shotgun double in which my grandparents lived during the majority of their fifty one years together. For half a century this site was the Foy family base; because of this, the home is the proper summation of it's co-creator's story.
