The WGSA MAG was South Africa’s only free award-winning 100-page monthly digital magazine (or e-zine) for professional performance writers’. It sparked debate and cohesion in the local entertainment industry. It was the mouthpiece of the Writers’ Guild of South Africa (WGSA), a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), which is the only internationally recognised guild in South Africa that protects, empowers and develops local writers.
This publication played a definitive roll in growing WGSA goodwill - culminating in 200% escalation in membership and formal recognition by broadcasters and industry.
