The L.A. Rebellion - Video essay

This is episode 1 of my series "Creating a Liberatory Media in the Imperial Core". The LA Rebellion is one name (coined by Clyde Taylor) given to a film movement of Black students at UCLA in the late 60s through the 80s. Their films were overtly political, and this essay argues, can be looked at as a part of the revolutionary Third Cinema movement of the global South.
