Hi! My name is Theresa Patti, also known as Ms. Tee by my students, and I am your_college_bes_tee! I have worked to create this podcast with the purpose of providing valuable information that will help college students find success. It will include helpful tips that I have learned as a D1 college advisor as well as address many of the challenges that college students face today that are often overlooked by typical advisors. Although the target audience is my local university community, this podcast can be useful for college students everywhere.
All future episodes will be titled, "your_college_bes_tee," with subtitles that relate directly to the content covered in that episode. The majority of the subject matter will include topics that address the concerns of students that I work with but will also include motivational and inspirational content that can be used by college students everywhere.
Outline for Episode 1:

2. It is ok to be unsure of what you want to do when you “grow up.”
3. You do not have to finish in four years.
a. Don’t feel pressured by any timeline but your own
4. It is ok to change your major
a. It can take time to find a program that we enjoy
b. As much as 80% of college students change their major at least once
5. Your major does not determine your career
a. Only about 27% of college grads work in a job closely related to their major
6. General studies, University studies, Interdisciplinary studies is a viable option
a. Today’s workforce is ever evolving
b. 65% of children entering grade school today will end up working in jobs that don’t
even exist.

i. Critical thinking and problem solving
ii. Teamwork
iii. Professionalism and strong work ethic
