The fourth car I am publishing to this portfolio out of my 2022 concepts ahead of their unveiling tomorrow is the McLaren
As evident, for this one I have deviated from the 2021 livery quite heavily and gone for an angular design. This was inspired by the design of the sidepods on the Gulf McLaren livery. On that design, there are 4 segments of colour on the sidepod, and in this livery these segments of colour take up the entire back half of the car. However not all segments are just a block colour as that would end up looking a bit dull. So I needed to add something and the main thing I added was stripes on the back of the engine cover and the bulkhead. The design is a nod to the 2021 livery and ends up giving the car a more edgy look. To complete the look I have also added the WeRaceAsOne stripes at the back of the sidepod, a design that goes well with McLaren's orange and blue.
