The current plastic rope guide suffers wear and tear easily from its intense usage. The aim is to duplicate the physical product and 3D print it in a higher grade material.
The reverse-engineering process involves measuring the product and then reconstructing it as a 3D model. The rope guide is being dismantled into smaller parts for reconstruction. They are measured using a vernier caliper and recreated in a 3D CAD software. The 3D models are 3D printed using Nylon material for better durability and strength.
