A Midsummer Night's Dream
Six male actors play all roles, deploying also puppets and masks. Together they create the play’s three worlds: the realm of the court and the young lovers; the magical and dream-inducing forest of spirits and fairies; and the pragmatic world of the down-to-earth but comic Mechanicals.
Rationale
The illustration-driven poster visualised the characters’ complex relationships.
By using the silhouette to form the forest, its shape represents their frame of mind being trapped in the woods because of the fairy’s trick. The cold color scheme represents the night which is also the main timeline of the story.
