Mindscapes - an animated journey of 'the being'
The project focuses on this idea of transformation of lines, that were a result of an idle mind with an urge to express. The clips below are made with software Krita and Procreate with a frame rate of 7fps.
Each clip is a different world, a reflection of different moments; however the character 'Being' is common, navigating through each environment.
The Loop : The story of a Being, stuck in a loop forever. By now he has memorized this path and fallen into a comfort zone. Even the disturbances are now familiar, as he knows what to expect and acts accordingly.
The Pause : In a different world the being rushes over to call it a day. He feels the necessity to switch off the shiny lights and experience a moment of nothingness.
The Race : The pause was necessary, for the next day brings along a race against time to reach the destinations, meet the deadlines and complete his daily duties.
The background is a painting done on a 4"x4" canvas with characters and the hand of the clock animated in Krita.
A Community : The rush takes the being to his place of work, a community with others just like him, trying to make sense of their surroundings.
The Celebration : An atmosphere of festivities is seen in the community. Their homes take a decorative vibe, with the public areas being a reflection of the culture.
The End : The Being is finally able to meet with "Peace". This is possible when he realizes that it was there all along, he just had to acknowledge it by letting go of the distractions and let the Peace come to him.
