Is it possibile to represent music through visuals?
I did by designing the cover of @mergingbeats album "Easy play".
The analysis of the audio-tracks, the valuable information extracted, inspired the visual model.
When the data-driven concept was complete, I worked with @ivanrossi95 in order to build a precise and interactive tool that enable us to work with real data. Once we had the wireframe, I gave each instrument some graphical weight into the visual.
The interactive version will allow you to listen to the song and, through the animation of the data viz experience the correspondence between music and visuals.
You will be able to filter by instruments and isolate the contribution of any performers.
